A legal requirement of customers with their own distribution system under the provisions of the Electricity at Work Regulation 1989 is the appointment of trained, competent staff.

This can be from within the clients' organisation or, where necessary, HVMS can provide local operational control.

Our fully qualified instructors can tailor courses precisely to clients’ needs. Examples of these courses include ‘High Voltage Awareness’, ‘Authorisation for Work on High Voltage Networks’, 'Generating Plant Management' and 'Workshop Practices'.

We strongly recommend that Authorised/Senior Authorised Persons Courses are held at the client’s premises. This normally ensures that the network design, equipment type, environment and duty is familiar to key client personnel. It is also generally accepted as being the least disruptive and most cost-effective exercise to our clients from a commercial perspective.
