HVMS has successfully completed the installation of its first Photo Voltaic (PV) Solar Farm on the Isle of Wight working directly for the land owner / developer. The project, which wasn’t secured by HVMS until the last week in May 2011 was completed and energised by the end of July 2011 which included a remarkable final 10 days on site. 19 August 2011

HVMS has been providing 'New Connections' services for some time directly for EDF Energy Networks but can now provide the same service as an 'Independent Connection Provider' (ICP) to End Users, Developers and Main Contractors requiring a new or up-rated 11kV connection. 19 May 2010

National Electricity Registration Scheme [Read More]
HVMS have successfully achieved partial accreditation for Lloyds run NERS (National Electricity Registration Scheme) operated on behalf of the UK Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), the National Electricity Registration Scheme. The scheme was established to introduce competition into the electrical services market and allow proficient and approved contractors to install electrical infrastructure to a standard acceptable to host DNO’s. HVMS have already been undertaking new connection works directly for EDF Energy and this now allows us to provide similar services to IDNO’s and others nationally.  17 February 2010

HVMS has secured a £1M contract from Wandsworth Council via EDF Energy Contracting to replace 6No. 11kV/415V substations in Battersea Park each of which provide 415V services for park exhibitions and small services. 30 December 2009

The BRIT OVAL - HVMS Secures Substation & Cabling Contract [Read More]
HVMS has secured a design and build contract to provide the BRIT Oval with new 11kV cabling and 11000/400V Substations and LV cabling to provide electrical power for a permanent floodlighting installation at the Brit Oval Cricket Ground in Kennington, London. 24 December 2008

Beckton STW - HVMS Secures £1.5m Cabling Contract [Read More]
HVMS has secured a cabling contract worth in excess of £1.5m to supply and install over 11km of 33kV, 6.6kV and 3.3kV cable for Laing O’Rourke at the Thames Water Utilities site Beckton Sewage Treatment Works. The contract also includes for HVMS to manage the ‘Safe Systems of Work’ through the provision of specialist High Voltage Senior Authorised Persons (SAP’s) responsible for managing shutdowns, safety documentation and the integrated system commissioning of the High Voltage Distribution Network. 23 December 2008

HVMS Secures £3m Un-Metered Connections Contract [Read More]
HVMS has secured a new two year contract worth in excess of £3M to provide Un-Metered Connections (UMC) for EDF Energy. Typically the specialist services include connection, disconnection and transfers to street lighting columns, feeder pillars, bus shelters, telephone kiosks, and advertising hoardings. 23 December 2008

Ebbsfleet Off-Site Works - HVMS Secures £500K Cabling Contract [Read More]
HVMS has secured a cabling contract worth nearly £500K to supply and install over 3km of 11kV cable, HV/LV package substations, a discrimination study and Senior Authorised Persons to manage the ‘Safe Systems of Work’. HVMS are responsible for all civil works incorporating 1500m of trenching, road closures and traffic management. HVMS is working as sub-contractor to Birse Civils on the Land Securities Ebbsfleet Valley Development Project and is the latest of several cabling contracts HVMS have secured from Birse Civils. 23 December 2008

Hammersmith Hospital - HVMS Secures £1.2m Contract [Read More]
HVMS has secured a HV/LV infrastructure contract worth in excess of £1.2m as Principal Contractor working directly for Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust at Hammersmith Hospital. The project which starts in January 2009 includes the supply and installation of completely new HV/LV infrastructure in the Main South Substation to serve the entire site and is under full Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. 23 December 2008

We are delighted to announce that HVMS has acquired Trakside Systems Limited (a specialist Mechanical & Electrical Contractor operating in the Rail industry). Trakside Systems now trades as part of the HVMS Group of companies. 03 May 2008

HVMS Utilities win extension to maintenance contract
HVMS has secured a two year extension on the current 11kV – 132kV maintenance contract from EDF Energy Networks. The new agreement covers all three areas of the EDF Energy Network. 03 May 2008

New Engineering Manager
Mark McGovern joined HVMS in Jan 2008 from EDF Energy Contracting. Mark joins the HVMS Management Team and brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in senior positions within Industrial End Users and having managed major projects for EDF Energy. Mark will take over the Company Authorising responsibilities making use of his 18 years' experience as an operational ‘Senior Authorised Person’ up to 33kV. 29 January 2008
