03 May 2008, HVMS acquires Trakside Systems
We are delighted to announce that HVMS has acquired Trakside Systems Limited (a specialist Mechanical & Electrical Contractor operating in the Rail industry). Trakside Systems now trades as part of the HVMS Group of companies.
Trakside Systems was originally formed to provide basic electrical services to the rail industry; core activities now include high and low voltage electrification and traction power projects, design, supply, installation, testing and Commissioning for electrical and mechanical projects through to civil works associated with the projects. Trakside Systems is also a major installer for current SCADA and Telecommunications systems throughout the Railway Infrastructure, having developed close working relationships with the major Design and Engineering supply companies and the resulting Network Rail partnerships.
The range of projects performed vary from minor remedial works to significant multi site operations involving project planning and management interfaced either directly with the prime client or via the main contractor and the local electricity suppliers.
