Civils
Preparing foundations for new equipment, modifying existing plinths, full excavation, cable trenching and re-instatement, including compliance with NRSWA where necessary, HVMS have resources in-house to provide the complete works to the highest possible standards. Our qualified engineers and technicians ensure minimal disruption to the client’s business activities, which is the result of detailed forward planning, continuous risk assessment, and adherence to rigorous quality and safety procedures.
Cable Installation
Using our specialist cable installation teams HVMS is able to offer the complete range of cabling solutions from control and auxiliary cables, low voltage power to high voltage power cabling. Each team is fully equipped with cable winches, cable drum jacks, rollers and drum trailers to enable any installation to be completed smoothly and efficiently.
Transformers and Package Substations
Power distribution transformers utilising liquid dielectric fluids such as Mineral Oil or Midel fluid or dry type cast resin insulated transformers are regularly supplied and installed by HVMS in ratings up to 5MVA.
Distribution Transformers can be supplied as free standing units or as a package substation (PSS) arrangement utilising 11kV and 415V switchgear. PSS options include RMU/switch disconnectors, ACB cabinets, feeder pillars or extended copperwork to suit the LV Switchboard tailoring the package to the individual site requirement.
HVMS also provide an installation service to OEM’s for Grid Transformers from 11kV-275kV.
Jointing
With the combination of traditional skills and modern techniques HVMS HV cable jointers have the training and experience to joint and terminate all types of cable whether a new installation of XLPE cable or existing paper lead or PICAS cables from 415V through to 132kV.
Switchgear
HVMS can supply and install new HV switchgear 3.3kV to 33kV, Vacuum or SF6 interrupters, fixed pattern or with-drawable, air-insulated or gas-insulated switchgears - all options with which HVMS is familiar with from the point of specifying, procuring, installing and or maintaining. Indeed HVMS has twenty years experience, and many of our staff even longer, of also working on older technologies and obsolete switchgears. Likewise HVMS staff are equally familiar with LV 415V switchgear and HVMS has well established relationships with many of the key OEM’s and Panel Builders in the UK market.
