Job Title: Electrical Substation Fitters

As High Voltage Maintenance Fitter you will ensure that all maintenance activities associated with the substation and associated equipment are successfully carried out in accordance with safety, technical and legislative policies and procedure, ensuring the successful completion of all maintenance duties associated with projects undertaken. You will be involved in maintaining the 11kV network equipment and performing maintenance duties on switchgear and associated high voltage equipment.

Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas:

• General Maintenance and Operation of 11kv Oil Circuit Breaker
• General Maintenance and Operation of 11kv SF6 and Vacuum Circuit Breakers
• SF6 11 KV Oil Filled Transformer Maintenance
• Maintenance & Operation Of RMU's, Oil Switches And Switch Fuses
• Managing the Project Group including Project Managers, support team and site staff.
• Installing, repairing and maintaining electrical plant apparatus such as electrical switches, isolators, circuit breakers and transformers in substations.
• Installing, repairing and maintaining the equipment that controls, protects and monitors the electricity.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance
• Inspecting, testing
• Assembling or removing components
• Adjusting and configuring electrical systems
• Oil Handling
• Work cohesively with the company to endeavour to reduce our impact on the environment.

A full UK driving licence is essential.
